Mission
Garner Magnet provides opportunities to students who have an interest in singing to perform a wide variety of choral music, study proper vocal techniques, develop strong musicianship skills, and share our musical talents with our community.
Vision
We believe that the choral field and the act of singing as a community can have transformative effects on society. Therefore, we want to help our students build a lifelong connection to singing and other forms of artistic expression. We aspire toward a collaborative choral community.
Goals
Garner Magnet High School Choir Department strives to give each student a well-rounded music education. Our goals
include:
1. Develop strong musicianship skills, both on an individual and ensemble level.
2. Improve music literacy.
3. Develop student leadership and teamwork skills.
4. Encourage creativity and self-expression.
5. Foster a love of choral music and singing that will last a lifetime.
